About Us
Generations For Peace Nigeria is registered with the CAC in Nigeria as Global Young Generation For Peace Development Initiative (GYDI) and known as Generations For Peace Nigeria. GYDI is a Nigerian not-for- profit organization working for social change through grassroots, community-led peacebuilding. It was formed in 2008 by Nigerian volunteers and formally registered in 2014. GYDI has trained 371 volunteers in Kaduna to design, implement and evaluate 22 peacebuilding programmes and initiatives engaging 8,000+ girls, women and youth. Twelve years of adaptive programming in Kaduna has spanned four Local Government Areas and 30+ communities; enabling volunteers to engage various community stakeholders addressing gender inequality, inter-religious and inter-ethnic conflict, social cohesion and violent extremism, we have been growing our networks and establishing credibility, and suitably positioning it to scale its work to even more beneficiaries through our projects. GYDI (Generations For Peace Nigeria) is an affiliate of Generations For Peace Amman Jordan founded by HRH Prince Feisal Al Hussein in 2007.Dedicated to sustainable conflict transformation at the grassroots, you can visit www.gfp.ngo
